The members of the Branch have undertaken to send shoeboxes to our troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan filled with goodies including sweets, shaving gear, socks, pants and all manner of nice things that are not perishable.
Consignments are regularly sent comprising of at least 100 parcels on route via BFPO to various contacts in those locations to be distributed amongst the lads and lasses, yes there are female boxes too! If you wish to help by either supplying goods to send or even to raffle for extra funds then contact Ellie Bland at her shop on 01249 824992, she is the officer organising the appeal on the branch’s behalf. Nearly 2000 boxes have been sent so far!
If you know of any service person in those theatres who would be willing to receive and distribute parcels for their comrades then please get in touch with us and we will do the necessary.
